This is a problem with the installation package indeed because I've downloaded the same application from multiple sources and the result was the same. I received the same message as you.
This needs to be reported to the developers using proper channel. Access the following page and click on the Email button. This will allow you to send an email to the developers. Specify that Cricut CraftRoom's installer is corrupted.
